CLAN ACADEMY and Sponsoring system

Post by Admin on Fri Dec 02, 2011 8:37 am

Clan Academy is a feature within the clan system that encourages clans to recruit more characters by rewarding the apprentice and the sponsor for working together. Also, the clan benefits particularly when an apprentice graduates from the Clan Academy.

Eligibility

Clans level 5 and above may create a Clan Academy by speaking to a clan NPC in-game. To become an apprentice, a character must be level 75 or lower and have not completed their third class transfer. To become a sponsor, a character must be level 76 or higher and have completed their third class transfer.

Benefits

The clan benefits most of all when an apprentice graduates from the Clan Academy. In the mean time, the clan leader and the sponsor can benefit from exclusive buffs:
Skill Name
Used By
Description
Reuse Time

Academy Precept Level 1
Sponsor
Increases P. Atk., M. Atk., P. Critical Rate, and M. Critical Rate by 10% for 60 minutes.
12 hours

Academy Precept Level 2
Clan leader
Increases P. Atk., M. Atk., P. Critical Rate, and M. Critical Rate by 20% for 60 minutes.
6 hours

A sponsor cannot use the Academy Precept Level 1 skill at these times:
After the Clan Academy apprentice graduates.
After the apprentice leaves the clan or is expelled from the clan.
After the sponsor leaves the clan or is expelled from the clan.
After the clan is disbanded.

A clan leader cannot use the Academy Precept Level 2 skill at these times:
After the clan undergoes a leadership transfer.
After the clan is disbanded.

Clan Academy Apprentice Rights

A Clan Academy apprentice’s clan name is the same as the main clan name, but is displayed in yellow.

Apprentices may use clan chat and alliance chat. By default, apprentices may use the clan hall and castle owned by the clan just like any other clan member. However, the clan leader does have the option to set it up so that apprentices may not use them.

Apprentices may use the clan warehouse and clan bulletin board just like any clan member. However, the clan leader does have the option to set it up so that Apprentices may not use them.

Apprentices cannot perform the following clan actions:
Join a clan or be dismissed
Title management, crest management, master management, level management, bulletin board administration
Clan war, right to dismiss, set functions
Auction, manage taxes, attack/defend registration, mercenary management
Apprentices in PvP activities

All apprentices can participate in PvP activities such as clan wars, castle sieges, territory wars, and fortress battles, just like other clan members.

Apprentices below level 70:
Experience penalties apply even when killed by opposing members of a clan in a mutual war.
Academy members cannot see an enemy mark displayed on the opposing clan members’ character name.
Academy members have no relationship during a clan war or siege war.

Apprentices level 70 or higher:
have the same relationship to enemies as other clan members.
If an apprentice of level 70 or higher kills or is killed by an opposing clan member, Clan Reputation is not changed.

Clan Academy Sponsors Rights

Clan Academy members who have a sponsor have their names displayed in yellow, but the names of those without sponsors are displayed in white. Clan members who have master management rights may appoint other clan members as sponsors for Academy members. Alert messages indicating their logged in status will be displayed for Academy members and their sponsors. Clan members who have master management rights may dissolve the relationship between an Academy member and their sponsor.

Clan Academy Quests

The following are quests that an mentee and a sponsor can take on together for exclusive rewards.

Follow Me ===> Quest description
40 - 50 lvl
XP, SP, Academy Circlet
300 Fame points
100 Clan Reputation points

Come to Me Quest description
70 - 75 lvl
XP, SP, Mentor Ring
2,000 Fame points
1,000 Clan Reputation points

The Mentor Ring can only be worn by a Clan Academy apprentice or graduate. It is an A-Grade ring that gives M. Def. +55 and MP +22. It cannot be traded, dropped, crystallized, stored in a clan warehouse, shared via the Dimensional Merchant, or used while in the Olympiad. The ring can be destroyed or stored in a private warehouse.

Before the Goddess of Destruction update, Clan Academy members could acquire a D-grade armor set through a quest that may be conducted with ordinary clan members. That set, the Clan Oath armor, is no longer available but was not removed. Some characters may still have and use their Clan Oath set.

Graduation

When an apprentice graduates from the Clan Academy, the clan receives 290 to 2,000 Clan Reputation points. In addition, 1,000 Clan Reputation points are awarded for every 10 apprentices who graduate from the Clan Academy.
